How does Titan work?

The infrared optical light heats up the dermis in order to cause collagen contraction. The thermal effect creates tissue tightening by the remodeling of collagen and elastin in the dermis resulting in a lifting effect. In addition, the Titan can stimulate long-term collagen rebuilding after treatment that results in further tightening and the development of a more youthful complexion.

What can I expect during a treatment?

During the procedure, a Sylvana professional treats your face with a series of pulses from the Titan. With each Titan pulse, you will feel a brief heating sensation. At the same time, the skin's surface (epidermis) is protected through continuous cooling with the Titan hand piece. Treatment length may vary from several minutes to an hour and normal activities may resume immediately.

Are there any side effects with Titan?

Right after the treatment, you may have some redness and mild swelling in the area treated. That should disappear in a few hours. You can resume your regular activities right after treatment.

What results can I expect after the treatment?

Some patients may see results right away. For most patients, the results are gradual over a two-six month period as new collagen is formed and the skin tightens. Although one treatment will attain significant improvement, it is generally suggested that three treatments be performed at six week intervals.

Where can Titan be used?

Titan laser treatments can be beneficial for treating lax skin on not only the face, but also the abdomen, thighs, neck and arms.

Who can be treated?

Since the Titan procedure heats tissue under the skin's surface, patients of any skin type or age can be treated.
