Radiesse® uses advanced, calcium-based microspheres suspended in a natural gel that is injected into the skin through a simple, safe and minimally invasive procedure. Restylane®is a non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid based dermal filler produced from streptococcus bacteria. It is purified, sterilized, and then chemically stabilized into a gel. Because it is minimally modified, Restylane has a low incidence of hypersensitivity reactions, and can last for 6 to 12 month intervals.

What is hyaluronic acid?
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally-occurring substance found in all mammals that helps to hydrate and add volume to your skin. In addition to its use as an aesthetic treatment, hyaluronic acid has been used for more than 20 years for injecting into arthritic joints to aid movement as well as for eye surgeries and wound repair.
What is cross-linked hyaluronic acid?
“Uncross-linked” hyaluronic acid in its natural form is in a liquid state. Cross-linking is the process through which hyaluronic acid is made into a gel product that can be injected into the skin for long-lasting results.
How is Juvederm used?
Using a fine needle, we ease Juvederm into the skin to help smooth moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. The injection process only takes about 15 minutes.
Are there any side effects?
The most common side effects include temporary injection site reactions such as redness, pain/tenderness, firmness, lumps/bumps, bruising, itching and discoloration. Most side effects are mild or moderate, and last no longer than a week.
Is Juvederm permanent?
No, the correction lasts for up to a year but is not permanent. Juvederm is safely degraded (disappears) over time. And, unlike semi-permanent fillers, it can be safely reversed if desired.

How soon can I see results? How long will results last?
The results are immediate, and Radiesse continues to deliver results as it works with your body to stimulate new collagen and regenerate tissue. Results typically last a year or more. Since results may vary, discuss your expectations with the Sylvana’s professionals.
How many treatments will I need?
Many patients achieve their desired result with just one treatment. At Sylvana, we may combine Radiesse with other dermal fillers on other areas of your face to achieve your desired results.

How does Restylane work?
Restylane adds lost volume to restore youthful contours to the skin to smooth away moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth.
Is Restylane safe?
Yes. It is FDA-approved for treating moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds.
What are the treatments like?
Restylane is injected directly into the skin in small amounts with an ultrafine needle. As with all injections, some patients may experience discomfort.
How long does it last?
According to a clinical study, Resylane continued to provide results up to 18 months after initial treatment, when patients returned for a follow-up treatment at 4.5 or 9 months. At least 95 percent of patients in this study continued to show improvement at 18 months.
What are common side effects?
You may experience some swelling, redness, pain, bruising and tenderness. This normally lasts less than seven days.
