How does Titan work?

The infrared optical light heats up the dermis which causes collagen to contract. The thermal effect tightens tissue through remodeling the collagen and elastin in the dermis. This results in a lifting effect. Titan can also stimulate long-term collagen rebuilding, which causes further tightening and a more youthful complexion.

What can I expect during a treatment?

During the procedure, a Sylvana professional treats your face with a series of pulses from the Titan. With each Titan pulse, you will feel a brief heating sensation. At the same time, the skin's surface (epidermis) is protected through continuous cooling with the Titan hand piece. Treatment length may vary from several minutes to an hour and normal activities may resume immediately.

Are there any side effects with Titan?

Immediately after a treatment, you may notice some redness and mild swelling in the treated area. Both should dissipate within a few hours. You can resume your regular activities right after treatment.

What results can I expect after the treatment?

Some patients may see results right away. For most patients, the results are gradual over a two-six month period as new collagen is formed and the skin tightens. Although one treatment will attain significant improvement, it is generally suggested that three treatments be performed at six week intervals.

Where can Titan be used?

Titan laser treatments can be beneficial for treating lax skin on not only the face, but also the abdomen, thighs, neck and arms.

Since the Titan procedure heats tissue under the skin's surface, patients of any skin type or age can be treated.
